Join us and go on a journey together! The 14th BJIFF has launched the Film Plus Filmmakers’ Basketball Association Section for the first time. This event, as an upgrade of the “Lan Ying Cup” Basketball Game for Filmmakers, was initiated by filmmakers, and is currently calling for teams from film companies. It is intended to explore endless possibilities of the integration between film culture and sports and their common development.
Introduction:
Featuring the innovation model of “culture + sports”, the 14th BJIFF · Film Plus Filmmakers’ Basketball Association Section hopes to better promote the spirit of national fitness through the personal participation and social influence of filmmakers, show the vibrant, healthy and progressive image of filmmakers today, and increase the charm of film culture.
1. Time: April 6-21, 2024 (every weekend)
2. Venue: Jindouyun Basketball Center in Chaoyang, Beijing
3. Exclusive live-streaming platform: Migu Video (broadcast on April 20 and 21)
4. Rules of the game: Formulated according to the actual situation, which refer to FIBA’s rules, and decided by national referees.
5. Schedule setting: April 6, April 13 and April 14: Qualifiers
Every four teams are divided into one group, and all groups will go through the round-robin stage of qualifiers respectively in the “Film & TV Group” and the “Competition Group”. The team with the highest points in each group will advance to the top eight teams for the group stage.
April 20: Opening Ceremony, group stage & knockout stage
The eight teams will play four basketball matches: two matches in the “Competition Group” in the morning and two in the “Film & TV Group” in the afternoon. Four winning teams will be qualified for the semi-finals.
April 21: Semi-finals/knockout stage, exhibition match & friendly match, final, Closing Ceremony & Awards Ceremony
There will be four basketball matches on this day. In the morning, the semi-finals will take place: Two teams in the “Competition Group” and two teams in the “Film & TV Group” will compete in respective teams to decide the winner of each group; in the afternoon, a 3X3 basketball exhibition match will be held in the first half, and a friendly match between two guest teams will be held in the second half; the second match in the afternoon will be the final of “Competition Group VS Film & TV Group”.
Registration requirements:
1. Object of participation: Recruiting teams from film companies, with players being basketball amateurs aged 20-35, which can be relaxed to 15-40 years old.
2. Registration materials: Every team needs to submit a group photo of all basketball members in a uniform, text descriptions of the team (including the enterprise, etc.) (200 words or less), personal photos and text descriptions of the team leader, coach and captain (50 words or less), and official match videos of the team within 100 minutes (or the link to Video Account).
