2025 ASUS e-Volunteer Social Good Video Section Outstanding Works Sharing | Creating with Youth, Building the e-Creation Future Together
The ASUS e-Volunteer Social Good Video Section at the Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) continues to provide a platform for young creators. Since 2019, the ASUS e-Volunteer Social Good Video Program has continuously provided a platform for young creators. It has nurtured over 1,900 outstanding films, encouraging more creators to join and use visual storytelling to convey the warmth of public welfare, while exploring innovative ways to express the spirit of the era.
This year's event, under the theme "AI into the e-Future", has established three categories: Technology, Public Welfare, and Future. It aims to guide young creators in integrating technological tools with humanistic care to produce visual works that offer insightful reflections of the times.
Since its launch in April 2025, the event has received over 400 submissions from young creators at more than 30 universities across China and abroad, including the Communication University of China, the Central Academy of Drama, the Shanghai Film Academy, the Communication University of China, Nanjing, the Beijing Film Academy, Dongseo University, Republic of Korea, the Sichuan Film and Television University, the Shandong University of Art & Design, the Beijing Normal University, and the Communication University of Zhejiang. The submissions cover a variety of formats, ranging from short films to feature-length productions.
The section also provides practical support for young creators: top-grossing short drama producers and directors are invited to offer specialized courses, along with on-site shooting guidance to strengthen practical skills from script to finished film. Masterclasses and special offline screenings are held simultaneously, establishing a professional platform for visual expression, dialogue, and discussion. Professional equipment support is available for all submitted works, helping to turn creative ideas into fully realized projects.
After multiple rounds of selection by a jury composed of industry experts, a group of innovative and expressive outstanding works by young creators has been chosen from all submissions.
