The 38th Hundred Flowers Awards Series Activities are scheduled to take place in Beijing in August 2026. The Hundred Flowers Awards is China's only national-level film accolade determined entirely by public vote, boasting a profound audience foundation, and its series activities constitute a highly anticipated, biennial national cinematic celebration.

This year's Hundred Flowers Awards Series Activities include 13 main events and 4 supporting events. As a core supporting short film section, the Douyin Future Directors Support Program is launching a global call for short film submissions from creators worldwide, aiming to unearth emerging directorial talents and provide a broader stage for high-quality visual creations.

The short film call for entries has entered its final 5-day countdown, with the submission portal officially closing on July 25. To participate, entrants must publish an original short film between 5 and 30 minutes in length, include the dual hashtags #FutureDirectorsSupportProgram and #HundredFlowersAwards, and premiere the work on Douyin for its first 72 hours while keeping it publicly visible. Following a comprehensive evaluation, exceptional creators will earn official accolades and resource backing from Douyin, while selected works will receive priority opportunities for Douyin's distribution, content development, and commercial partnership representation.
