　　SYNOPSIS: 

　　During a summer holiday, Xiaohai, who lives alone in the desert with his father, becomes sick of the monotony and decides to go into the town to find his mother and finish his composition. However, the road into the town isn’t very smooth: the traffic is a nightmare, his hometown seems to be a forgotten place; a strange encounter with Yuanyuan reveals Xiaohai's sealed "identity"; the failure in searching for his mother drags him into a whirlpool of emotion towards his hometown. The unexpected experiences have become a rich source of material for his composition entitled Summer Diary. In reality, he has never been away from the desert; in composition, the whole family have started their journey towards the sea.
