Using dreams as a narrative thread, the production delves into the philosophical exploration of the love between Du Liniang and Liu Mengmei that transcends life and death. Through scenes such as You Yuan Jing Meng, Xun Meng, Xie Zhen, Li Hun, Ming Pan, Shi Hua Jiao Hua and You Gou, the opera portrays humanity’s eternal pursuit of love and freedom, adding contemporary depth to the timeless sentiment of, "Love once conceived knows not its origin, yet it grows all the deeper."
