In the 1960s, Aruna, a young Mongolian woman, lived alone deep in the Mu Us Desert. Determined to fulfill her parents’ dying wish to restore the sandy wasteland to a lush pastureland, she remained in the heart of the desert, planting trees despite the sandstorms. Amid a sandstorm, a young man named Bagna entered her life. As he evolved from fearing the “Sea of Death” to understanding her determination, the two gradually found a shared resonance in their emotions and convictions.
