The 14th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF), co-hosted by China Media Group and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, will take place in late April 2024 in Beijing. This year’s BJIFF Short Video Section is now calling for submissions worldwide.
In 2022, the 12th BJIFF launched the Short Video Section for the first time. Over the past three years, its influence has further expanded, and a number of excellent domestic and foreign short videos have been discovered and displayed, making it a key force that promotes the high-quality development of short videos. The theme of the section this year is “Life and Living in Short Videos”. As a major way of creation, short videos undertake an increasingly important mission of cultural communication. The BJIFF Short Video Section encourages creators to use new techniques and ideas to record beautiful moments of ordinary life, and showcase the vitality and color of life. They can tell good Chinese stories, depict bright civilization and show the looks of the times with excellent short videos that are warm, profound, broad and bright.
The section comprises multiple sub-sections, such as Review and Recommendation, Masterpiece Panorama, Master's Workshop and Forum Series.
