Countdown 10 Days Left Submission Deadline for the Short Video Section of the 16th Beijing International Film Festival Approaches
To Global Short Video Creators:
The submission window for the "Short Video Section" of the 16th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) has entered its final 10-day sprint! We sincerely invite all passionate and creative creators to join us in exploring the boundless possibilities of short video creation and the endless innovations in visual storytelling.

▍Submission Requirements:
1. Each entry must be within 10 minutes in duration. If submitting a series of short videos, no more than three (3) works may be submitted.
2. Works must be based on real-life material, actively spread positive energy, and must not involve pornography, violence, racial discrimination, or any content that violates the laws, regulations, or social morals of the People's Republic of China.
3. Videos must be in MP4 format without watermarks. Both horizontal and vertical orientations are accepted. The file size of a single entry shall not exceed 1GB.

▍Submission Categories:
1. News: Short yet impactful, precise yet engaging short video works that contain essential news elements.
2. Knowledge: Short videos with educational value, focusing on life skills, popular science, learning techniques, experience sharing, and more, featuring accurate audiovisual expression and rich creativity.
3. Documentary: Short documentary videos that use the camera to record ordinary yet powerful people around us, capture touching moments in daily life, and reflect the development of the times and social progress.
4. Arts & Culture: Short videos in artistic forms such as micro dramas, music videos, animated shorts, etc., emphasizing ideological, cultural, and aesthetic depth while conveying mainstream culture and values.

▍Awards & Selection:
The jury will select First, Second, and Third Class Excellence Awards for short videos in each of the four categories: News, Knowledge, Documentary, and Arts & Culture. This year's Short Video Section also features the "Youthful China" and "Civil Affairs China" segments, with the Best Work of the Year selected from each segment. In addition, based on the submitted works, the following special awards will be presented: Most Socially Influential Work, Best International Communication Work, Most Socially Valuable Work, and Best Organizing Institution.
▍How to Apply:
1. Scan the QR code or visit the link below to obtain the application form and fill it out as required.

2. Submit the following materials to the submission email: bjiffsv@163.com. The email subject line and work file should be named in the following format: Category (News/Knowledge/Documentary/Arts & Culture) + "Title of Work" + Name(s) of Core Creator(s).
(1) Completed application form (Word version);
(2) Completed application form with signature/seal (PDF version);
(3) The work attached to the email, or a permanent valid download link provided in the body of the email.
3. The submission time shall be based on the time of receipt. The organizing committee will notify selected entrants via email or text message.
▍Submission Guidelines:
1. No submission fee is required.
2. The submitter of a short video work must be the creator or the distributing party. Submitters must ensure the originality of their work and shall not plagiarize, copy, or borrow the work of others. Any visual or audio materials used in the work must not involve copyright disputes. The organizing committee and its host and co-organizing parties assume no legal liability in this regard.
3. Participants must agree to grant the organizing committee the right to use their work for non-commercial activities, such as promotion (including the use of trailers) on the official website of this event, to facilitate the selection process and the successful execution of the honor gala.
