Announcement of Project Solicitation for Venture Capital Conference of the AIGC Film Section at the 16th BJIFF
Dear creators, production teams, and film and television organizations around the world,
The AIGC Film Section of the 16th BJIFF is now accepting project submissions for its Venture Capital Conference.
As a dedicated section of the BJIFF focused on AI-driven collaborative visual creation, we are committed to building a premier platform that connects cutting-edge technology, outstanding creativity, and industry capital. This year's Venture Capital Conference will continue its core mission of "driven by both technology and art", identifying and incubating AIGC film and television projects with market potential and artistic innovation, and promoting the deeper integration of AI technology with China's film industry and its high-quality development.
We warmly invite creators and teams with mature AIGC film and television projects, including long-running series, short dramas, premium dramas, theatrical feature films, and online films, to apply and engage directly with leading investors, producers, platform representatives, and technical experts from China and abroad, as we work together to shape the future of screen storytelling in the age of AI.
I. Types Open for Submission
1. Long-running series: AIGC series with a fully developed world and the potential for continued expansion;
2. Premium short dramas: AIGC short-form dramas or premium dramas with innovative formats, strong pacing, and suitability for multi-platform distribution;
3. Theatrical feature films: AIGC feature-length films intended for theatrical release;
4. Online films: AIGC films developed for major streaming platforms;
Requirements: AI technology must be used in a substantial and creative way in key areas such as narrative innovation, visual aesthetics, and production workflow. Fully AI-generated projects are eligible, and projects combining live action, 3D, and AI within a hybrid production workflow are also encouraged. Submissions should demonstrate the distinctive value of a deep integration between AI and film and television creation.
II. Submission Materials (All materials must be submitted in either Chinese or English.)
To help the jury assess each project efficiently and comprehensively, you are required to prepare and submit the following materials:
1. Pitch Deck (Business Plan)
2. PV/Concept Short Film
3. Project Plot:
a. Story synopsis of over 200 words
b. Story outline of over 1,000 words
c. Detailed story outline of over 6,000 words (optional)
4. Full script (optional):
a. If a complete script is already available, submission is encouraged, as it will assist the jury in conducting a more in-depth evaluation.
III. Benefits and Opportunities
Projects and teams selected for this year's Venture Capital Conference will gain access to the following opportunities:
Top-tier industry connections: Meet directly with leading investors and production companies in China, as well as content decision-makers and acquisition executives from major video platforms;
Exclusive film screening and exposure: Outstanding projects may be selected for special presentations or excerpt screenings during the AIGC Film Section of the 16th BJIFF, and may also receive featured exposure on platforms such as Tencent Video.
Technological ecosystem support: Selected projects may have the opportunity to receive dedicated AI computing support and technical guidance from strategic partners such as WanX, helping to optimize the creative process.
Industry honors and recognition: One final project will receive the "Most Commercially Promising Project" honor at this Venture Capital Conference, with official recognition from BJIFF.
IV. Schedule
Project submission deadline: April 10, 2026
Initial screening and review: April 11-14, 2026
Shortlist announcement: April 15, 2026
On-site pitch: April 22, 2026 (Beijing)
V. Registration and Submission
1. Eligibility: Open to global film and television practitioners, AI technology creators, production companies, and university teams
2. How to submit: Scan the QR code and complete the application form to upload submission materials

VI. Important Notes
1. All submitted projects must be original and free of any copyright disputes. The project party must possess complete copyright or legal authorization for the submitted materials. If any legal issues arise, the responsibility lies with the project party.
2. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to use materials from shortlisted projects for non-commercial publicity, promotion, and archival purposes during the festival and related activities.
3. The AIGC Film Section Organizing Committee of the 16th BJIFF reserves the right of final interpretation of this announcement.
